assalamualaikum....hye....today i want to explain 4point in the learning outcomes of business driven technology...before that,i want to ask..what is information technology (IT)????IT is a information that we get from technology nowdays..eg : google...we can serve many things to get the information that we need..technology is always in your fingertip this is because, all around us are in technology..even handphones are also technology and we can get the information through the handphones...

      based on the learning outcomes,firstly is about how information technology's role in business??actually, information technology is everywhere in business..as i said before,technology are around us..eg : as a students,let's say we are using the scientific calculator in statistic subject to calculate the number based on the formula given....scientific calculator is the technology and the answer of the calculation is the information..

      secondly, what is the impact of information technology's on business operations?? there is a several impact of information technology's such as increasing in customer service,reduce cost and improve the productivity in project goals....there is 8 common department in an organizations it is accounting,finance,human resource,marketing,sales,production management,operations management and management information system....all these department organize typically operate by functional areas or functional silos....functional areas are interdependent...

      thirdly,explain the information technology basics....
a.information technology (IT) - the used of technology in managing and processing information.
                                             - very important enabler of business success and innovation.
                                             - eg : students
                                                      * information is important to pass the quiz,test and final exams.

b.management information systems (MIS) - for the business function and academic discipline that
                                                                  cover the application of people,technologies and
                                                                  procedures..
                                                                - used for solve business problems.
                                                                - a business function that similar to accounting,finance,
                                                                   operations and human resources.
                                                                - eg : Air Asia
                                                                         * customer can make a online check-in based on
                                                                            the company procedure.

                 i. data - raw information that describe the characteristic of an event.
                 ii. information - converted data into a meaningful and useful context.
                                      - eg : iphone ; RM2 500.
                 iii. business intelligence - to gather,provide access to and analyze data and information to
                                                       support decision making efforts.
                                                    - eg : for the year 2011, 50 000units of iphone are sold at RM2 500.
                 iv. IT resources - people,information,information technology...
                 v. IT culture
                     # information-functional culture - each business function manager hold their information
                                                                       in tight.
                     # information-sharing culture - knowledge management
                                                                 - employees across department thrust each other to use
                                                                    information especially about problems and failurest to
                                                                    improve performance.
                     # information-inquiring culture - employees across departments search the information to
                                                                     better understand the future and align themselves with current
                                                                     trends and new directions..
                     # information-discovery culture - employees across departments are open to new
                                                                       insight about crises and radical changes and seek ways to
                                                                       create competitive advantages.
